Course Description

Objectives

Writing academic English at doctorate level can have significant benefits in the reception of your research, but it can seem like one more hurdle between you and your finished dissertation. This seminar will enable you to assess your level of academic English, to discover what you are doing right, and to work on the areas of grammar and style you would like to improve. Participants will also increase their understanding of what editors are looking for in an academic article and how to structure an abstract. The specifics of the course will be designed around the group.
