Karl Enenkel (Universität Münster) will spend the months of May and June 2025 at echo as a Visiting Fellow. Karl Enenkel is Professor of Medieval Latin and Neo-Latin at the University of Münster, a member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences and has published widely on international Humanism, early modern culture, paratexts, literary genres 1300-1600, Neo-Latin emblems, word and image relationships, and the history of scholarship and science.

While in Berlin, he will pursue his projects on the travesty of myths and related pictorial humour in the reception of Boccaccio's "De Iole" in 16th and 17th century painting, and on Prae-Tacitism and Anti-Tacitism in Gerolamo Cardano's "Encomium Neronis".
