Germany and the Humanities in a Global Age
While we can speak of the Digital Humanities as the application of digital methods, the real importance of the digital transformation lies in the disruptive effects of new digital methods upon the Humanities and upon the resulting new ways in which the Humanities can enhance the life of society as a whole. This talk explores the potential international role of the Humanities in Germany in a Digital Age, with a particular focus on the study of pre-modern languages and cultures.
