The National Institutes of Science and Technology (INCTs) are a key strategic element in the Brazilian system of science, technology and innovation. The INCT programme aims at promoting the interaction with international groups of excellence in specific research areas. In order to enhance German-Brazilian collaborations and to foster the establishment of new initiatives, the German Research Foundation (DFG) published a report to inform about the variety of regular funding programmes available to scientists working in Germany that provide opportunities for joint research activities.
