Since I had been to Brazil for the first time, it was clear to me that I wanted to come back – not only in private for traveling, but rather for the purpose of studying or working and thus get to know the country from a different side.

For me, the internship in São Paulo was a great opportunity to experience the impressing cultural and social diversity of Brazil, to improve my Portuguese skills, to gain an insight into the academic culture of the country and gather professional experience in the field of higher education marketing and the internationalization of universities - and last but not least to take part in the everyday life of the biggest city in Brazil and Latin America. Both, at my job in the FU office as well as in my private life I met many interesting and lovely people and learned a lot. São Paulo is a fascinating city, colorful, exciting, versatile and full of life and energy. My time there turned out to be a personal enrichment in every respect, but unfortunately was way too short. I will definitely come back, Sampa!

My favorite word, in this sense: saudade!
