First and foremost, we’re committed to standing by and supporting the Freie Universität Berlin’s employees in all phases of their life and career (entering the workforce, children, care, retirement, etc.) As part of the Central University Administration we’re also a service provider for all the different workplaces within the university. Our support is based on the existing concepts and principles, such as the personnel development concept, the equal opportunities concept, the Mission Statement Diversity and the Central University Administration’s women’s advancement plan.

Wellbeing in the workplace and a family-friendly environment are integral components to the way we approach human resource management.

In addition to the classic personnel tasks, our division also rises to current challenges within the workforce including the shortage of skilled professionals, demographic change, internationalization, diversity and digitalization.
