The President of Freie Universität Berlin, Professor Günter M. Ziegler, has expressed his shock and dismay following the attack on Heidelberg University’s campus last Monday. Ziegler said, “An act of violence of this nature being committed on a university campus is beyond all comprehension.” He added, “We at Freie Universität Berlin extend our deepest sympathy during this very trying time. Our thoughts are with the victims of this horrific attack and all members of Heidelberg University.”
