Two Students from Freie Universität Nominated for Olympic Games in Tokyo

Caterina Granz in the 1,500-meter run and Christoph Harting in discus throwing are members of Team Germany

Two students from Freie Universität Berlin are at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. Caterina Granz from LG Nord Berlin will start in the 1500-meter run. In 2019 she was the German champion in the 1500-meter run, and in 2020 she placed third in the German championships. In 2019, she also won the gold medal over the 1500-meter distance at the 30th Summer Universiade in Naples. The discus thrower Christoph Harting, who trains at SCC Berlin, is in Tokyo as an alternate in the competitions. Christoph Harting won the gold medal in the discus throw at the 2016 Olympic Games.
