Open Day at Department of Veterinary Medicine on July 8, 2017, at Freie Universität

№ 179/2017 from Jun 30, 2017

On July 8, 2017, the Department of Veterinary Medicine at Freie Universität will open its doors to the public: visitors can expect a wide range of activities that encourage people to join in and learn something in the process. Young people interested in studying veterinary medicine can get information about the curriculum at Freie Universität Berlin as well as various career options. The event is public, and admission is free.

As part of the Open Day, there will be a hospital for stuffed animals, where children can practice medical care on their favorite stuffed animals. There will be a petting zoo, where visitors can get close enough to pet the animals, and a "rally," where children can earn an "animal diploma." Other activities will include blowpipe shooting and a display of homing pigeons. Flowers and snacks will be on sale.
