The Chamber Choir of the Collegium Musicum of Freie Universität and Technische Universität Berlin won the 44th international choir competition "Festa Musicale – Festival of Songs" in Olomouc in the Czech Republic. Under the baton of the conductor Donka Miteva, the singers in the ensemble won gold medals in the categories mixed choir with compulsory piece, contemporary music, and folklore. In the final performance, the chamber choir won the overall prize of the competition with a modern interpretation of Henry Purcell's "Hear my Prayer, o Lord" and the song "Tumbang Preso." Choirs from several European countries competed.
