Public Lectures on Aspects of Modern China, June 2 to July 21, 2016, at Freie Universität

The sinologist Prof. Dr. Björn Alpermann from the University of Würzburg will open the series on June 2, 2016, with a lecture on China's leadership during the modernization of the country. The series is being presented by the East Asian Institute at Freie Universität. On five different dates in June and July, scholars from Germany and abroad will address the development of the People's Republic of China by taking into account social, political, and religious aspects. The lectures will be given in English. They are public, and admission is free.
