Freie Universität Berlin and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan Extend Collaboration

Agreement to Promote Cooperation in Teaching and Research

№ 179/2010 from Jun 08, 2010

Freie Universität Berlin and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (Poland) are extending their collaboration. Representatives of the two universities signed a cooperation agreement aiming, among other things, to facilitate mobility between the two universities for students and researchers. Another aim is to increase research across country borders. “Berlin and Poznan are moving closer together,” declared representatives of both universities as the agreement was signed.

It was stated that closer cooperation between scientists from Germany and Poland is also an important driver for cooperation between the Berlin region and Wielkopolska. Representatives of Freie Universität Berlin and Adam Mickiewicz University had jointly organized a two-week intensive course on “Nanosized Particles as Building Blocks for Creation of Nanostructures” held in May in Poznan. It was attended by undergraduate and graduate students of the two universities. Other programs will follow. One intention is to set up jointly operated doctoral schools.
