Evaluated by “Forum on Education Abroad”
№ 38/2010 from Feb 12, 2010
The International Summer and Winter University of Freie Universität (FUBiS) was the first of its kind in Germany to receive the quality seal of the U.S. American Forum on Education Abroad. Worldwide, nine universities have so far met the standards of the Quality Improvement Program (QUIP). The QUIP review process assesses teaching, support for students, academic environment, and the quality of preparation for the learning environment abroad.
Recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission as the Standards Development Organization (SDO) for education abroad, the Forum on Education Abroad is one of the most important professional organizations for education abroad programs.
FUBiS started out as a summer school in 1998 and since 2007 has also included a winter term. This year’s first term is currently running with roughly 100 participants from 18 countries. The two summer terms will take place between late May and mid-August.
