Workshop | Empowerment-Workshop for Neurodivergent Students: “Navigating ADHD & Co-Designing Neuroinclusive Structures”
Important: Follow-up appointment on Friday, November 21, 2025
Facilitator’s announcement:
An increasing number of students with ADHD are facing specific challenges in their daily academic lives. These challenges are often not only of a personal nature but also rooted in structural or systemic issues. The goal of this workshop is therefore to:
1. Create a safe space for exchange and trust (Sharing Space).
2. Use methods from Design Thinking, Systems Thinking, and Strategic Foresight (Strategic Design) to collaboratively develop proposals for greater neuro-inclusivity at the university.
3. Empower participants in their creativity and sense of agency – also by showing how one can work with their (neurodivergent) brain instead of against it.
This workshop seeks to spark a shift in perspective: away from viewing ADHD as a "deficit" and toward recognizing it as a resource that can contribute to long-term, systemic solutions.
Based on the experience that the sharing part (check-in) often requires considerable time, we place great emphasis on providing a protected space at the beginning. The workshop is therefore divided into two sessions:
Day 1: Input, Sharing, and Teambuilding
Thursday, 20.11.25, 10 am–1 pm
Goal: Build trust, release burdens, and establish a shared foundation.
- In-depth check-in (open exchange about experiences and current challenges)
- Short input on neurodivergence (especially ADHD) and the importance of group/peer support
- Initial team-building exercises that are playful and low-threshold
Day 2: Co-Creative-Session (Strategic Design)
Friday, 21.11.25, 10 am–3 pm
Goal: Use Design Thinking to develop joint solutions and concrete proposals for the FU.
- Introduction to the core principles of Design Thinking (without overwhelm – focus on the essentials)
- Identification and structuring of key challenges (synthesis, clustering)
- Idea development (posing “How might we…?” questions, brainstorming, ideation)
- Drafting of first rough concepts, possibly small prototypes or visualizations
- Selection of the most promising approaches and preparation for forwarding them to relevant stakeholders
This is a two-day workshop, and participation on both days is requested in order to create a trustful and supportive space.
Further information on registration will follow shortly.
This Empowerment-Workshop is funded by the Berliner ChancengleichheitsProgramm.

Participation is free of charge.
