About the TICKET project
What is TICKET?
The TICKET project ("Transnational Intercultural Competence through Knowledge Exchange and Training") aims to provide academics and professional staff with holistic skills in intercultural competence (IC) that will allow them to enhance internationalisation and improve social-educational delivery across the higher education sector in order to confront the challenges arising from the expanding number of intercultural encounters and collaborations that take place within the classroom and workplace.
For more information, please visit the TICKET Website.
What to expect from this event and the TICKET project?
The TICKET project comprises a consortium of 7 universities (Universiteit van Amsterdam, Freie Universität Berlin, Alma Mater Studiorum Università di Bologna, the University of Edinburgh, KU Leuven, Universidad de Granada and Jagiellonian University Krakow) working together on creating:
- a modular Training Programme for Intercultural Competence to support IC skill acquisition.
- ICT Tools including (virtual) Open Educational Resources
- a Toolkit for Staff including webinar to support implementing IC skills
- a Handbook and framework for policy makers
Everyone involved in the TICKET project, whether a student or a member of staff, should feel welcome and supported, as a member of the academic community, but also as a person, with all their unique characteristics and experiences. Only then can everyone fulfil their full potential.
Participants in TICKET activities will feel better equipped to:
- Address the challenges of internationalisation and increased diversity in the workplace
- Contribute to and enhance the training provision for Intercultural Competence skills for HEI staff
- Foster diversity and inclusion both online and on campus
- Engage with multicultural student groups
