Susanne Sichting was born in Berlin where she also studied German and primary school pedagogy at Freie Universität Berlin. After two years working at a public primary school, she decided to switch to work with adults so she began to study German as a foreign language, again at FU Berlin. During that time, she studied 6 months at the University of Vittoria in Spain where she had the opportunity to put herself in the place of her future learners. To this day, this experience has helped her a lot in her work. She received her master's degree in 2008. Since then, she has taught German as a foreign language to different groups, for example immigrants and students of all nationalities.
