Cancellation of Lecture by Holocaust Survivor Margot Friedländer on March 7

Cancelled due to illness

№ 042/2018 from Mar 05, 2018

Unfortunately, the presentation scheduled for Wednesday, March 7, to be given by Holocaust survivor Margot Friedländer had to be cancelled due to illness. Friedländer was invited to speak at Freie Universität as part of the Berlin European Studies Program (FU-BEST). She had planned to talk about her memories of persecution as a Jew by the National Socialists. So far, no replacement date has been scheduled.

The first presentation in a new series "Berlin Eyewitnesses" being organized by the FU-BEST program has now been postponed until the fall of 2018. In the new series, each semester an individual, be it as eyewitness, observer, or victim of injustice, will speak about different epochs and turning points that shaped Berlin in the 20th century. Originally Margot Friedländer was scheduled as the first speaker in the series to start March 7.
