Movies in the Lecture Halls

International Film Festival Starts at Freie Universität on November 4

№ 327/2013 from Oct 29, 2013

The 8th International Film Festival at Freie Universität Berlin from November 4 to 8, 2013, will focus on cultural diversity in cinema. Under the motto "cross roads, cross borders, cross minds" films from different regions of the world including Serbia, Norway, Israel, Germany, and the USA will be shown. The organizers of the International Film Festival that is held annually early in the winter semester want to facilitate contact between German and foreign students and contribute to understanding between students with different cultural backgrounds. All members of the university and other interested persons are welcome to attend the screenings. The movies are shown in their original language with German subtitles. There is no admission charge and no advance sign-up.

The International Film Festival at Freie Universität is hosted by the Initiative of German and Foreign Students and the Initiative against Racism at Freie Universität. The festival is supported by Prof. Dr. Klaus Beck and Prof. Dr. Michael Bongardt, both vice presidents of Freie Universität, as well as by the student group of the union representing employees in public service, ver.di.
