South Korea’s North Korea Policy

Personal Advisor to the President of South Korea to Speak at Freie Universität

The North Korea policy of the South Korean government is the subject of a lecture to be held November 19 at Freie Universität Berlin. The speaker will be Sung Wook Nam, personal adviser to the South Korean President Lee Myung-bak on dealing with the country’s North Korea policy. Sung Wook Nam is also a professor of North Korean studies at Korea University in Seoul and president of the Institute for National Security, the main strategic think tank in South Korea dedicated to its North Korea policy.

The organizers are the Institute for Korean Studies and the Center for Area Studies at Freie Universität Berlin. The lecture will be held in English. The title of the lecture is "North Korea’s Military Adventures." It is open to the public and free of charge.
