Philippe Kirsch Guest at Freie Universität

Renowned Canadian Legal Scholar to Speak on Current Developments in International Law

Philippe Kirsch, president of the International Criminal Court until the beginning of the year, will be holding a lecture on December 7, 2009, at Freie Universität Berlin. Kirsch will speak on the development of international law and the International Criminal Court as well as the challenges of public international law. The lecture will be given in English. It is open to the public and free of charge.

Philippe Kirsch was president of the International Criminal Court from 2003 to 2009. From 1988 to 1992, he was the Canadian Ambassador to the United Nations.
