Dissertation Award for Dr. Leonhard Dobusch

Researcher at Freie Universität’s School of Business and Economics Honorerd by Alcatel- Lucent Foundation for Communications Research

Dr. Leonhard Dobusch, a postdoc at the School of Business and Economics of Freie Universität Berlin, is the recipient of a dissertation award from the Alcatel-Lucent Foundation for Communications Research. Dobusch was given the award for his work on "Windows versus Linux: Markt – Organisation – Pfad." The award, including 5,000 euros, was presented in a ceremony in the White Hall of the New Palace in Stuttgart.

The Alcatel-Lucent Foundation for Communication Research presents awards for outstanding work with an economic focus carried out at a business school.

Dr. Leonhard Dobusch completed his doctorate at the interdisciplinary research training group "Research on Organizational Paths" (Path Dependency) at the School of Business and Economics of Freie Universität Berlin. This research training group studies the formation and dissolution of rigid structures in organizations. The program admits 15 graduate students at a time to work on their doctorates. The German Research Foundation (DFG) funds this international training group with ca. 350,000 euros annually.
