Start-up Project at Freie Universität Awarded 5,000 Euros

Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology Honors Start-up FuTinGo

№ 231/2009 from Sep 04, 2009

The German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology held a competition for company founders with innovative ideas in the broad topic area of multimedia and awarded the Freie Universität start-up, FuTinGo, 5,000 euros. FuTinGo is supported by profund, the group that provides assistance with starting new businesses at Freie Universität, and was one of 15 winners in the recent competition. Dagmar Wöhrl, Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, made the presentations at the IFA in Berlin.

The software developed by FuTinGo and recognized by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology is called iSEED. It was designed to allow a transparent IT landscape. The new software records decentrally all IT resources, employees, and business processes together with the data processed, with administrative workflows being being fully represented. Privacy policy messages during processing of personal data are provided, as well as statistics and reports for management.

The founders's competition of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology rewards innovative business ideas in the area of multimedia. Of particular interest are start-up concepts aimed at the use of multimedia technologies in the industrial environment, be it in product development or in the service sector, that lead to an improvement in quality, the streamlining of processes, or innovations in terms of new business models.
