The jury will be made up of Chinese Studies scholars as well as photographers. Members of the jury are looking forward to receiving photos of unusual locations and interesting snapshots depicting daily life in China. The photo contest is intended to promote intercultural under- standing, one of the fundamental concerns of the Confucius Institute. The institute offers Chinese language courses as well as classes related to Chinese culture.
Each participant may submit up to three individual photos. The size should be at least 20 x 30 cm and not larger than 60 x 60 cm. The photos should preferably be fairly recent, but not more than 10 years old. Do not submit photos that have been published, or photos that have already won awards. The decision will be final.
- Submission deadline: Wednesday, October 21, 2009.
- The photo exhibition will be from Nov. 4 through Dec. 22, 2009.
- The exhibition opening will be Tuesday, Nov. 3., 2009, at 6:00 p.m.
