This course consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part will be made available to you 4 weeks in advance as a digital lecture via Blackboard (time-dependent). The practical part will take place on 28.06. and 29.06. at the Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research (IZW). You will receive all further information in advance.
Additional information / Pre-requisites
The course can be attended a maximum of 2 times (part 1 in the winter semester and part 2 in the summer semester). The order of course participation does not depend on the semester.

Introduction to further imaging procedures in wildlife reproduction medicine
- X-ray and computer tomography
Practical examination of one or more patients from the Berlin Tierpark/Zoo with health/reproduction problems (selected students can take part in the clinical examination or treatment)
Survey of the health/reproduction status of new arrivals from licensed rescue centres (reptiles, mammals)
If indicated: use of the IZW's high-performance computer tomograph
