Zunächst werden die ersten Zeugnisse des Romanischen auf iberoromanischen Boden sprachlich analysiert, soziohistorisch kontextualisiert und der Bogen zum Altspanischen gespannt. Im weiteren Verlauf der Lehrveranstaltung widmen wir uns dann zentralen Werken des Altspanischen, wie zum Beispiel dem Cantar de mio Cid und der Primera Crónica General, wobei sowohl sprachinterne, v.a. (morpho)-syntaktische, als auch sprachexterne Faktoren im Fokus liegen.
