Die Vorlesung stellt ein Spektrum von Theorieansätzen vor, die es erlauben, die Analyse von Bewegtbildern in einen übergreifenden kulturtheoretischen Rahmen zu stellen. Sie erhalten einen Überblick über klassische Theorieansätze wie die Psychoanalyse, den Strukturalismus und die Phänomenologie und machen sich mit aktuellen Forschungsperspektiven aus den Cultural Studies, der feministischen und queeren Theoriebildung sowie der postkolonialen Kritik vertraut. Über die wissenschaftshistorische Kontextualisierung exemplarischer Fachliteratur, die gemeinsame Lektüre und die Erörterung der Rezeption von Schlüsseltexten führt die Vorlesung in die genannten Forschungsperspektiven ein. In der dazugehörigen Filmanalyse Methodenübung erproben Sie ggf., wie kulturtheoretische Ansätze ausgewählte Beispiele aus verschiedenen Filmgenres und anderen audiovisuellen Medien erschließen können.
Hinweis: Die Methodenübung Filmanalyse C (17 613) kann begleitend zur Vorlesung belegt werden, ist aber weder verpflichtend noch Voraussetzung für den Besuch der Vorlesung.
