Comments
This course will look at different aspects of Comparative Semitics (such as phonology, morphology, syntax, or classification), as attested in several Northwest Semitic inscriptions. Students will develop their understanding of Ugaritic, Phoenician, and Aramaic inscriptions not only linguistically but also in terms of shared literary culture in ancient Near Eastern literature.
