Comments

Der Einführungskurs bietet im Stil einer Vorlesung einen Überblick über den Zeitraum von etwa 800 v. Chr. bis zur Zeitenwende. Ganz maßgeblich wird er durch die Verwendung des neuen Werkstoffs Eisens geprägt. Die Ausbreitung der Eisentechnologie steht daher am Anfang der Betrachtung. Nachfolgend werden vor allem die beiden dominierenden kulturellen Abschnitte, die Hallstatt- und Latènezeit, behandelt. Im Vordergrund steht das Kennenlernen der wichtigsten Leitformen und ihrer chronologischen Stellung. Aber auch das Bestattungs- und Sieldungswesen sollen betrachtet werden, um so zu einem umfassenden Gesamtbild der Epoche zu gelangen.
