Kommentar
Qualifikationsziele:
Die Studentinnen und Studenten kennen die Grundprinzipien der Paläobotanik und können diese anwenden.
Inhalte:
Evolution und Paläobiogeographie, Vegetationstypen, Pollen und Sporen, Bestimmungsübungen, mikroskopische
Analyse und Dokumentation, Prinzipien und Interpretation von Diagrammen, Anwendung in Stratigraphie, Ökologie
und Paläoklimaforschung. Schwerpunkte bilden Analyse und Verständnis von Biodiversität im raum-zeitlichen
Wandel und Erkennen und Beschreiben der am häufigsten vorkommenden Biome. Methodische Fähigkeiten und
kreative Fertigkeiten zur Problemlösung, Wissensschöpfung und Wissensvermittlung werden an Fallbeispielen
entwickelt.
