Other cultural events take place at the ZDS or in cooperation with it, especially readings and panel discussions, often with very prominent guests. Worthy of mention are e.g., the discussion with the "Nazi Hunter" Beate Klarsfeld (December 2015, in cooperation with the German Embassy in Beijing) or the "Sino-German Writers' Forum" in September 2013 (in cooperation with the Institute for German Literature of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Literary Colloquium Berlin et al.). Readings and discussions with authors have taken place with, among others, Peter Weber (2014), Monika Maron (2011), and – several times already – Martin Walser.
