In the period between September 18 and September 22, 2017, Prof. Dr. Ernst Osterkamp from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin held four lectures at the ZDS Peking. The topics were "500 Years of Reformation – Martin Luther and the German Literature", "The Cult of the Greeks in the German Literature", "Faust II" and "Stephan George and the Image of the Poet". Since October 2017 Prof. Osterkamp is president of the German Academy for Language and Poetry.
