Lean Library

Lean Library is a free browser plugin that helps you find the easiest way to access electronic resources while you are browsing the Internet.

Just install the extension, and let it lead you to digital content available for Freie Universität Berlin or to open-access content.

When you are looking at result lists in Google, Google Scholar, JSTOR, Amazon, etc., Lean Library will provide additional results from Primo. That way, the extension lets you know directly whether you have access through the University Library.

Installation

Go to https://download.leanlibrary.com/leanlibraryopen, get Lean Library into your browser, and select "Freie Universität Berlin" as your institution. That's it.

Benefit

When Lean Library discovers that a literature item that you have come across on the Internet is available through the University Library, a link to the resource will appear on the right side of your screen. If the item is not available through the Library, you will be pointed to an open-access version if there is one.

Data protection

Lean Library will not collect personal data, unless you actively enter any.
