We are very pleased to announce that with the generous support of Santander Universitäten Deutschland, Freie Universität Berlin will award 14 scholarships to students from Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and India for participating in our Freie Universität Berlin International Summer and Winter University (FUBiS) Term III 2026 program, taking place from July 18 to August 15 2026.

FUBiS is an intensive academic short-term program for international students offered by Freie Universität Berlin. During three terms per year, FUBiS offers subject courses in English and German language courses at all proficiency levels. Students earn Freie Universität Berlin credits and grades which may count towards their degrees. FUBiS also arranges housing, extra-curricular activities, and other services.

The scholarship amounts to €3,250 per student, and will be offset against the included services. Each scholarship includes the FUBiS program fee, tuition for one semi-intensive German language course or one subject course of the student’s choice, housing in a single dorm room with a shared bathroom and kitchen, a health and liability insurance package, as well as a lump sum for travel expenses.

The scholarship is aimed at students facing economic disadvantages specifically. Eligible for this scholarship are students who are at least in their second semester of undergraduate university studies at the time of application, and are over 18 years old.
