In the foyer, there are lockers in which you can store your bags, coats, and jackets. Please do not store any valuables in the lockers – the library accepts no liability for theft. 

Using the lockers is completely optional. You are allowed to take coats, jackets, and bags into the reading rooms with you.

Lockers can be locked using a four-digit PIN, a Campuscard, a MensaCard, or a transponder (if you are a Freie Universität employee).

You can activate your card or transponder for library locker use at the info terminal. The terminals can also be used to access your locker number if you forget it.

Library users are only permitted to make use of the lockers during library opening hours. You may not occupy lockers past closing time. Any lockers that are still locked at the end of the day unlock and open automatically. The contents of these lockers are then treated as lost and found items.
