The International Max Planck Research School for Computational Biology and Scientific Computing educates students at the interface of computer science and biology! The school is a joint graduate program of the Freie Universität Berlin (FU) and the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics (MPI-MG).
To select the most promising students from around the world for our training program, we employ a two-step selection process consisting of awritten online application and a selection symposium at the MPI.
Our application platform is now open. Deadline for application is Febuary 22, 2016 With the application we ask for a letter of motivation, a formal CV, certificates, two references and a research proposal.
After the deadline, all applications are reviewed by the coordinator and the faculty and each student is graded in terms of their grades, scientific interestes, and more non-scientific characteristics. Approximately 15 of the best graded students will be invited to the selection symposim, which ist held in May.Applications for 2016 are open now.
