The Berlin Graduate School for Global and Transregional Studies (BGTS) offers a structured 3-year doctoral program focused on contestations of the liberal script in global contexts.
Hosted at Freie Universität Berlin and part of the Cluster of Excellence SCRIPTS, BGTS provides interdisciplinary training in theory, methods, and transferable skills. Doctoral researchers engage in rotating colloquia and collaborate with partner institutions like Humboldt-Universität, WZB, and the Hertie School. Specializations span regional and disciplinary focuses, with access to courses across Berlin’s top graduate schools.
