A delegation from USP led by the rector Prof. Carlos Gilberto Carlotti visited Freie Universität Berlin at the end of September. The group was received by representatives of various institutes and clusters of excellence as well as by President Prof. Günter M. Ziegler in the Golden Hall. The agenda included the funding format of the clusters of excellence, the exploration of further cooperation possibilities between both institutions as well as the signing of the renewed cooperation agreement between the USP and the FU Berlin. Currently, both FU and USP jointly maintain within a consortium the international research network Mecila, which is based in São Paulo.

Following the exchange, the delegation visited the SupraFAB, a new research building on campus, and spoke with researchers who use the laboratories there for their projects.
