The “IX Jornadas Europeias” with the title “Regionalism under stress – toward fragmentation and disintegration? Europe, Latin America, and beyond” will take place at the USP Law School from 25 to 27 September 2017. Thomas Risse, Professor of International Relations and Director of the Center for Transnational Relations, Foreign and Security Policy at Freie Universität Berlin, will held the keynote on “Comparative Regionalism: State of the Art and Avenues for Future Research” on 25 September at 9:00 a.m.. His research has dealt with foreign and security policy, European integration and the European Union, transnational relations and human rights, and failed states and governance. Together with Tanja Börzel, he edited “The Oxford Handbook of Comparative Regionalism” (2016).
