The webinar is part of the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Geneva Refugee Convention and will focus on the impact of protracted situation of displacement on scientists and science, hearing first-hand from local scholars as well as experts on long-term strategies to uphold science and higher education in times of crisis.

The webinar will be chaired by Peter McGrath, Coordinator, InterAcademy Partnership and TWAS Science Policy/Science Diplomacy program and will feature Saja Al Zoubi, Ghanya Naji Mohammed Al-Naqeb, Hasan Mohammed Hasan Maridi, Gioconda San-Blas, Mohammad R Tanha, Radwan Ziadeh.
