Given the threats facing scholars and higher education institutions today, promoting and defending academic freedom is important, not only to academics, but to all of society. In the free online course “Dangerous Questions: Why Academic Freedom Matters,” created by the Academic Refuge project, everybody has the chance to work on this topic with Dr. Chelsea Blackburn Cohen, Dr. Olga Hunler and Robert Quinn.
This course is designed for students and staff in higher education, but it will be relevant for anyone interested in asking critical questions. The course run begins on September 12 and is free and available to anyone with internet access. The material is divided into 3 weeks with an expected workload of 3 hours per week. Participants will have access to the course for five weeks.
