The workshop, organized by George Kyris, University of Birmingham, and Vera Axyonova, Academics in Solidarity, Freie Universität Berlin, will invite scholars to reflect on the issues of analytical choices, fieldwork, positionality and interpretation in conducting research on conflict and in post-conflict environments. It will feature a keynote speech “Safer Field Research in Social Sciences” by Ilyas Saliba, researcher at Humboldt University, Berlin Social Science Center and Global Public Policy Institute and an active mentor of AiS, presenting a homonymic book recently published with SAGE.
