The first Network Conference of Academics in Solidarity titled “Regaining Lost Knowledge – Connecting Research at Home and in Exile”, will take place at Freie Universität Berlin on 21-22 November 2019. The Conference will signify the launch of a new stage of the AiS program. As of today, more than 80 displaced and endangered scholars have registered as mentees with AiS. The conference will give them the opportunity to present their research to a wider community, bring them together with established scholars and mentors and expand their professional and academic networks. The conference will further serve as a platform for exchange among key stakeholders representing support programs for at-risk scholars, research funding organizations, expert community and AiS partner institutions in Germany, Lebanon and Jordan.
The provisional program of the Conference can be found here.
The registration for AiS mentees and mentors is now open.
If you would like to attend the event as a non-member of Academics in Solidarity, please send an email, indicating your full name and institutional affiliation, to Mr. Emil Bauer at: email@example.com.
