During this webinar, scholar-members of the New University in Exile Consortium will discuss the rise of authoritarianism, anti-intellectualism, and censorship globally, offering perspectives from Turkey, China, and Brazil. The presentations will call attention to restrictions on academic freedom and free speech in each country, and highlight strategies academics and administrators use push back on governmental repression.
