The annual GAIN conference is a large German science and research career fair organized by the DAAD, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the DFG. Early career researchers and representatives from all areas of the German research landscape come together for two days of exchange, learning and networking. The conference program is offered in either German or English. A variety of workshops and the talent fair make the event an opportunity to meet a large number of experts, politicians and German university leadership. Participants can meet with more than 60 German universities, research institutions, and funding agencies. In one-on-one meetings young scholars can find out about their programs and job openings. The initiative Research in Germany offers a special workshop on opportunities in Germany for international scientists interested in transatlantic careers and partnerships.

Please note that the GAIN22 English Afternoon Program takes place on Sat. 04. Between 14:00-18:45. This part of the conference is free of charge. You may apply for travel reimbursement from AiS via the small grant format conference attendance and also check if you are eligible for GAIN participation grants here, if you wish to attend the full conference that includes a participation fee AiS sadly cannot cover.
