Join this event without prebooking on March 17, 2021.
News from Mar 12, 2021
The right to education is a fundamental human right but evidence indicates that only one percent of refugee youth can access and continue higher education. Refugee-like populations face multiple obstacles in their host countries to access to higher education owing to a lack of comprehensive national policy approaches and sustainable broad-based internationalization frameworks. This online webinar will provide an overview and descriptive analysis of educational policies for refugees in Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, United Kingdom and Turkey and explore how these countries have responded to refugee students’ integration into higher education.
This webinar will be presented by Dr Selin Sivis, University of Essex and chaired by Liliana Harding, School of Economics and convenor of the UEA Migration Research Network.
