Save the date for this years Berlin Lecture - „Between empathy and rejection: What perspectives does the immigration society open up for Muslim and Ukrainian migrants?“

The lecture will be held on the 7th December 2022 at the Auditorium in the Jacob-und-Wilhelm-Grimm-Zentrum, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.

This year's Berlin Lecture organized by the Berlin Institute for Empirical Integration and Migration Research will be given by Prof. Dr. Karen Phalet from the University of Leuven. Her lecture will focus on the question of how established and newly immigrated Muslims have been and are perceived and treated in European countries, also against the background of the recent refugee influx from Ukraine.

Karen Phalet is an internationally recognized scholar who studies ethno-religious divergence, discrimination, and belonging in post-migrant societies from a social psychological perspective.
