Online training 04. November 2022, 9:00-15:00

On the 4^th of November international scholars came together for an online training with Dr. Anke Soemer to learn how to navigate the German research scene and find career paths. The workshop provided an overview of the German research and innovation system and addressed both the opportunities and challenges associated with consolidating an academic or research career in Germany. It also raised strategic issues in career development, such as intersectoral mobility. Overall, the training was designed to facilitate career decision-making in a highly competitive work environment characterised by project funding and temporary employment contracts. Each participant had the chance to develop a personal career plan model and received first insights into the structure and opportunities within the German system.
