Course Description
Objectives
Good scientific practise should be a matter of course. Yet to decide on wrong or right might be difficult in the concrete case. In this workshop, participants reconsider their understanding of ethics in science on the basis of case studies.
Contents
-
Each participant will be asked to anonymously submit a short piece of writing on the following topics:
(i) FU Best Scientific Practise: For which situations is scientific misconduct clearly defined and where not? Where is misconduct defined and it is not clear what it includes?
(ii) Have you been in contact with questions of science ethics in your research?
(iii) What is good scientific practise in your own opinion? -
These questions are the basis for a discussion of case studies in groups
