Freie Universität Berlin is an active participant within the worldwide network of German Centers for Research and Innovation (DWIH). This engagement creates more visibility for Germany as a research and science destination in general and strengthens Freie Universität’s global networks in particular. The university and the DWIH are connected in various ways, for example, through its liaison offices in Moscow, New Delhi, and São Paulo. The university is also an associated member of the DWIH in Tokyo, San Francisco, and New York, making it part of an even wider network.

Freie Universität members benefit directly from the cooperation with the DWIH, which can support you in publicizing your research through various means in the specific countries of interest. The centers can also put you in contact with people and institutions in different countries as well as assist you with (financial) support for events. Please note that the DWIH generally has scheduled deadlines for funding applications. We are happy to keep you informed about those dates here.
