Netzwerk Unternehmertum launches online crowdfunding initiative for the Deutschlandstipendium

“Anyone who is in the process of starting a company or is thinking about starting one needs all the support they can get. That’s why the Netzwerk Unternehmertum organization at Freie Universität Berlin is dedicated to helping students who have entrepreneurial drive by collecting donations for Deutschlandstipendium schoalrships. I would be delighted to see many supporters sign on for this idea,” says chairman Dr. Karsten Stein, explaining the work done by nonprofit organization Netzwerk Unternehmertum der Freien Universität Berlin (NUFUB).

 

Using crowdfunding to provide freedom for young entrepreneurs
How it works:

Participate in the crowdfunding campaign and show your support for budding entrepreneurs. You can donate at least € 150 for a one-month grant or a higher amount by making a funds transfer to the account listed below. As soon as donations totaling € 1,800 (the amount needed for a one-year scholarship) have been collected, Netzwerk Unternehmertum will award a scholarship on behalf of the donors. The German federal government matches this amount of € 1,800 as part of the Deutschlandstipendiumprogram.

The Deutschlandstipendium

This program, initiated by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), provides assistance to students whose careers to date give reason to expect outstanding academic performance. Another factor in awarding the scholarships is unusual engagement, such as founding a business, along with willingness to assume responsibility. The program is also a way for you to provide targeted assistance to high-performing students who overcome personal challenges. Netzwerk Unternehmertum der Freien Universität Berlin (NUFUB)

At the initiative of Profund Innovation, entrepreneurs from within Freie Universität Berlin have teamed up with business startup experts to establish an organization called Netzwerk Unternehmertum der Freien Universität Berlin (NUFUB), which operates under the umbrella of Ernst-Reuter-Gesellschaft der Freunde, Förderer und Ehemaligen der Freien Universität Berlin e.V. (ERG). The organization brings donors and students together for events and activities such as the Funpreneur competition and BusinessplanLab @ FUB. NUFUB e.V. helps Freie Universität to pool together smaller amounts given by private donors for the Deutschlandstipendiumaid program, thereby giving additional students the freedom to engage in entrepreneurial activities.
